It’s been a while since we’ve heard Keyshia Cole speak on much of anything, let alone her relationship with Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. But on today’s episode of “The Real,” she’s putting it all out there. The singer joined the regular ladies of the daytime talk show along with special guest co-host and friend Remy Ma, and Lonnie Love didn’t waste any time getting into Keyshia’s own love life. After pointing out Keyshia’s rocky relationship with her ex, Lonnie asked if she had any advice for women moving on after a tough breakup.
“We’re friends.” Keyshia said, explaining she and Boobie’s status. “We’re co-parenting pretty amazingly for our son. And um, I’m really proud of us… of us both, honestly, all three of us actually. You know, we’re all trying to work it out. It’s tough, you know, but we’re friends and we do it for him. You know, DJ.”
“So is it over?” Lonnie asked just to confirm a reconciliation between the two is out of the question.
“No, it’s over,” Keyshia answered. “Yeah, it’s just not there.”
That’s when Remy Ma jumped in and pointed out “We’re taking numbers… by the way,” i.e. she’s trying to hook her girl up. But Keyshia doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about her prospects so far, telling the co-hosts, “I’m a little picky.”
